Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives on building strong relationships, influencing positive change, and helping leaders get the very best from their teams?
At Ubico, we know that our people are at the heart of everything we do. That's why we're looking for an experienced and approachable HR Business Partner to join our People Team and play a key role in supporting our managers, developing our people, and helping the organisation achieve its goals.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled HR professional who enjoys building trusted relationships, influencing positive change, and making a real difference to the employee experience. You'll work closely with managers across the business, helping them navigate challenges, develop their teams, and create an environment where colleagues can perform at their best.
What you'll be doing...
No two days are the same in this role. You'll be a trusted advisor to managers and leaders, providing practical, commercially focused HR support while ensuring our people remain at the centre of decision-making.
You'll provide expert guidance across a wide range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability, performance and workplace investigations. You'll help ensure policies and procedures are applied fairly and consistently, while supporting managers to make confident, informed decisions.
Alongside managing the employee lifecycle, you'll coach and support leaders to develop their management skills, build high-performing teams and create positive workplace cultures. You'll also have the opportunity to lead and contribute to a variety of people-focused projects that support organisational growth, employee engagement and continuous improvement.
The role may be based in Cheltenham or Gloucester. The successful candidate will need to travel regularly to sites across Gloucestershire, with occasional travel to West Oxfordshire and Wiltshire, so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use are essential.
About you...
You're an experienced HR professional who combines strong technical knowledge with a genuine passion for helping people succeed.
You'll be comfortable building relationships at all levels, able to offer sound advice on complex people matters, and confident in influencing and challenging constructively when needed. Most importantly, you'll take a collaborative and pragmatic approach, balancing business needs with a positive employee experience.
You'll bring:
- Significant experience in a generalist HR role, ideally at Business Partner level
- Strong employee relations and employment law knowledge
- Experience supporting and coaching managers through a variety of people challenges
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
